I just wanted to share how I ended up on this hobby,

I just started on this hobby by accident and curiosity because my wife and I bought a veil tail on local pet shop, I just did try to look on the internet how to care and groom it properly for our cute little veil tail betta. While browsing the internet I ended up seeing HM fish I was as-toned  by the looks of the halfmoon, browse couple more look at you tube seeing them move and flare and the rest is history I was hook up by it.

So I did start to look in the internet how to obtain one, I then read and read forums leading me to go to aquabid to have this HM because there is no way for me to get HM form betta on any local fish store. At first by looking on the bidding in aquabid I was impress with dragons because of there thick scaling and robust body structure.

So I did gather info how to ship it here in Canada well on my first experience I was really so hesitant because you where to ship fish from Thailand to Canada, I told to my self is that possible but its worth to have a try. I did order  6 betta from different sellers for the first time just to try how the shipping works It went well smoothly, I was really excited to have my first halfmoon so I did try to breed it. It went pretty well , thanks for the help for those people in Betta 4 all specially to paradox error giving me an advice to put hidding place for my female.

Because on the first try I may say my female fish was savaged by my male fish this was a red pair. But  I never quit and I will never will because as a kid I been breeding lots of animal from birds competitive racing pigeon to mammals including cats and dogs and even spiders and insects. So I have an instinct that I can do it just need to gather more info and it went well on my second try this give birth to my red dragons that I was showing on my videos I had just 47 fry on this spawn. Did try again another spawn , spawn #2 Red and Black copper which resulted to have irrid black body with red fins (bicolor bettas).

I was really just spawning irresponsibly but my third spawn is pure red but outcross not sibs which I plan to show for a show if ever. But I have a couple more different betta that I did order now sibs so pure breeds, I forgot to mention at this point I decided to join IBC for competition so I'm really eager to join for a show for the first time. That's all for now guys, I attach photo of my fish room before and at present.

WOW.
I love it. Gives me some ideas. My second bedroom is full of stuff. I just can't seem to get up the energy to empty it out and start on my totally fish room only.
I keep telling myself that I can do it in 13 months when I retire but I must start sooner.
Thanks for sharing.
Catherine

PS. I haven't had a chance to look into the shipping but I will. My brother got married this weekend and the last few weeks have been nuts.
