Ok so about a week ago i was passing a Sheridan garden centre when i thought to myself, hey why not go in and see if you can find out where to get an Almond tree/plant. I was told that they don't sell them or know where i could get one.

So while i was looking around and waiting for some definate answers on the matter i happend upon their pond plant section. I took a look at the plant they had on display and saw a sign that read 75% off all pond plant's. Hmmmm sounds good i thought as i saw a ton of duck weed floating on top of the water and around all the plants. So i also inquired to the price ofthe duckweed and how i would get it. The sales rep polietly told me that they usually sell it in containers, but she would sift some into a bag for me (she didn't have a fish net which would have made it quicker). So after 10 minutes of her trying ti scope it into the bag i said thats fine how much would it be. Her reply was," well you usually get alot more in the container which sells for $8.99 so just tell the cashier $2.99 less 75%.  So i paid $.99 for just about enough duck weed to cover my 10 gal.

Good buy no? Wait it gets better. Looking at my tank today i noticed soe of the duckweed sort of moving on its own... odd? i thought so to... so i took a real close look at it and there are some tiny white little worms attacked to the duckweed. Now i haven't used live foods since i've just gotten back into breeding, but can anyone tell me what these worms are and how i can produce more of them?

Gonna try and snap some pics once the battery charges

Sounds interesting.  I have no idea what the worms might be but I will ask on some of my other fish groups.

so i've been checking it out and i think they are actual White worms. They are SUUUPER tiny and seem to hold on to almost any plant just at the surface of the water. Every now and then they grab onto the glass of the tank and try to pull the plant down the glass with them.

How tiny?  Sounds more like planaria to me.  Planaria is a natural inhabitant of fish tanks and it's possible they were either already in the tank and got attracted to the plants, or they moved in with the plants from the garden centre.

Planaria come in all sizes, ranging from the size of a pinpoint to several millimeters long.  I've seen them as long as a centimeter in my breeding tanks. that might be what they are... they are really thin almost impossible to see with the naked eye...but the ones i can see, when stretched out, are about 5mm or a little longer
