Old love or 'What have you done now"

I don't know what to call this post Maybe Old Love, you just never know or "What have you done NOW Cat" ( Kim yelling at me)
I have to set the stage. Does anyone remember my Shadow ( grizzled cellphone DT male)That I tried to breed a number of months ago with no luck. Well I placed him in a 5 gal divided tank with plenty of plants. I was running out of space. In the other side was Miss Prim. ( orange 1/2 dragon Plaket female) She is the last from a spawn I had last year only 5 girls and she wouldn't get a long with anyone. So I put her in the other side of the tank.
There is so much follage that at times you can't see the fish.
They both ignored each other. Little did I know they were carring on behind my back. Last night when I got home , what do I see but Shadow in the other side of the tank with Missy. After over three months of ignoring her.??
They were nose to nose. No fin or tail damage. So I schupped him up and placed him in his side of the tank. Checked the divider OK. and less then an inch clearance between the top and the lid.
You quessed it . This morning Shadow was back in her side of the tank and they were carring on as if they were teenagers.
I didn't have the heart to separate them so I took the divider out and let them have some fun.
They are like an old married couple. They will snuggle for a while and then work on their own bubble nest. Yes each has built their own nest. Missy has hers under the Almond leaf and his is under a small plants leaf.
Have no idea what will come of this but I will be surprised if there will be any viable eggs. Both are getting lone in the tooth.
I will keep you posted.
Catherine
PS. OK Kim start yelling.
