I`m trying to spawn my pair that Catherine got for me from the IBC show in Michigan.  The guy is a great HM/OHM red and blue bicolor.  Female is a great fish with a HM tail!  They are quite nice to each other and are spending lots of time under the bubblenest but no eggs yet (it`s only been 2 days).

I`ll post pics and more details if/when they spawn!  Wish me luck...it`s been awhile!

Well I went to check for eggs tonight and discovered babies already hanging from the nest.  Mom was hiding in the plants and not bothering dad so I took her out and fed her Smiley

Looks like their birthday is Today, Sept 23.  No matter what I will have to take the dad out tomorrow night since I have a 26 hour shift at work starting Friday morning (and again on Sunday)...

Will load up the tank with microworms for my days at work!

I'm glad that I had a spawn since it had been awhile since my last non-eaten spawn.  Here's hoping the babies survive until tomorrow Smiley

Thanks Ashley,

There is a chance I might get a bit of sleep if the ward isn't too busy Smiley

So, two babies survived.  They are in their own sharred jar with lots of microworms constantly on the bottom.  Growing rather well with frequent water changes.  They ALWAYS have bellies packed full of microworms.
